Our Systems Engineers are responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the systems and products for our Hitachi Energy GeMobility offering across the entire lifecycle. This interdisciplinary field involves multiple engineering domains from electrical, mechanical, protection, manufacturing, control software, safety, and security engineering and combines an engineering and engineering management role.
Roles and ResponsibilitiesTechnical ManagementDesign, develop, and create system products & system architectures to meet business and technical requirements.Manage and maintain system architecture, including subcomponents and standalone products integrated into our systems.Monitor system performance, identify potential issues in terms of performance, safety, security, and quality.Technically oversee systems and products including alignment with all involved internal and external stakeholders.Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, industry trends, and best practices.Collaborate cross-functionally with different teams for Software & Hardware components, on system product as well as sub-component level.DocumentationCreate and maintain system documentation for reference purposes.Safety, Security, and AvailabilityCreate, maintain, and enhance safety and security concepts for our systems and products.Implement and manage monitoring and alerting systems to ensure high availability and performance.Performance MonitoringMonitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with development teams to implement those fixes.Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and processes to improve system performance, reliability, and efficiency.System Checks & DFMEAConduct regular system checks such as DFMEAs to ensure optimal performance.Optimize system configurations and performance for efficiency, scalability, and reliability.QualificationsEducational Background: MS or higher degree in an Engineering domain.Experience: Proven working experience over several years in designing systems and technically managing them.Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.Communication: Excellent communication skills to align with team members, internal & external stakeholders including vendors.Very structured person in terms of communication, documentation, and problem-solving.Strong team player who likes to lead technical discussions.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.Knowledge about programming languages for application & system software.Knows & has experienced the product, software & hardware development lifecycle.Job type: Full time
