install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches and resolve software related problems).Administration and operation of cloud environment (OpenStack, VMWare, Kubernetes).Administration and operation of DevOps environment.Plan and perform appropriate procedures, documentation, inventory assessment, and other procedures related to systems management.Monitor operated/administered environment.Make recommendations relevant to system security, computer system performance, disk and other components utilization.Monitor systems and applications performances to track operating efficiency.Test and implement technical solutions and provide strong operational support on virtualization architectures.Work with team to automate management tasks, streamline processes and perform standard administration functions as needed.Conduct software and hardware evaluations, provide technical analysis and implement systems to meet Customer's IT goals.Report status and flag issues, especially in a proactive manner.Participate in the On-Call service.Successful CandidateTechnical skills:Expert on Linux (RedHat based distributions, e.g.
Centos, Red Hat) installation/administration and tuning.Independent knowledge of Linux automation/DevOps (e.g.
scripting, ansible, python).Independent knowledge of Kubernetes.Independent knowledge of GitLab, Rancher, Prometheus, Harbor, Helm and Velero.Independent knowledge of Traefik and MetalLB.Independent knowledge of Grafana.Is an asset:Knowledge of VMWare virtual environment.Knowledge of VMware automation (e.g.
scripting reporting and deployments).Knowledge of OpenStack infrastructure.Knowledge of network management, firewall and security.Knowledge of databases (Oracle/MySQL/Postgres).Relevant certifications in the relevant technologies are a strong asset.Good understanding of ITIL practices and processes.Personal skills:Good written and oral command of English (B1).Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in team working are mandatory.Capacity of achieving schedule and milestones.Capacity of working under pressure.Knowledge and Experience:At least a Secondary school diploma.At least 2 years of proven experience in the field of cloud and DevOps or having participated in specific master/training in the relevant field.Experience in supporting/worked on data center and complex IT environments and/or setting up Virtual environments both on Physical and Cloud Platforms is an asset.About the CompanySerco is a leading provider of public services.
