We are looking for an engaged and experienced Environmental Engineer to join our Sustainability Department, in our Global HQ in Milan, Italy.
Your Impact: This role is pivotal in advancing our climate commitments and our goal to reduce scope 3 emissions within the operations team, ensuring that our supply chain adheres to the highest environmental standards and leveraging technical expertise in climate-related areas.
Activities: Support the implementation of the Manufacturing Supply Chain Roadmap in line with Scope 3 emissions reduction goals.Enhance Energy data management to enable carbon informed decision making, progress tracking and reporting; find synergies with other environmental data requirements (e.g., as water or waste).Identify Supply Chain key energy efficiency and decarbonisation opportunities, including technology innovations, to drive improvements and support the development of action plans by Supply Chain Partners as required.Provide technical expertise and guidance in climate-related areas, including greenhouse gas emissions reduction, energy efficiency, and climate resilience.Develop and implement sustainable procurement strategies aligned with company goals and industry best practices.Collaborate closely with the operations team to integrate sustainability criteria into daily operations and supply chain management.Conduct supplier assessments to evaluate environmental performance and compliance with regulatory requirements.Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to sustainable procurement, such as carbon footprint reduction, waste minimization, and resource efficiency.Stay abreast of emerging trends, regulations, and innovations in sustainable procurement and integrate them into company practices.
Who We Are Looking For: Main Qualifications: At least 4/5 years experience in environmental reporting.Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or related field.
Master's degree preferred.Proven experience in Apparel Industry and manufacturing processes within Textile, Apparel and Luxury sector.Strong understanding of environmental regulations, sustainability standards (e.g., ISO 14001, LEED) and initiatives (SBTi, TCFD, etc.
), and corporate social responsibility principles.Experience in factories energy audits or efficiency assessments.Expertise in climate-related areas, with the ability to apply technical knowledge to enhance sustainability initiatives across operations.Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess supplier environmental performance and impact.Effective communication skills to engage with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and external partners on sustainable Supply Chain practices.Project management skills to plan, execute, and evaluate supply chain program implementation.Passion for environmental sustainability and a drive to make a positive impact through sustainable procurement practices.
