RINA is currently recruiting for a Sustainable Biofuels Consultant to join its office in Genoa or Milan - Italy within the Green Energy Solutions Division.
Mission The Resource Efficiency and Management Unit of RINA is seeking a highly motivated resource with experience in the bio-energy sector to support the team in the management and / or technical development of projects with focus on certification schemes for the sustainable production of biofuels, mainly referring to the ISCC EU scheme.
Key Accountabilities Participation in team activities in the framework of Agro-Energy projects with focus on the sustainable production of biofuels Support the management of the entire supply chain, from the point of origin of the agri-feedstock to the obligated party, for the compliance with the ISCC EU principles Contribute to the evaluation of new agri- feedstocks for biofuels, with particular interest in production of vegetable oils, and in the categorization within the European biofuels' regulation framework Interact actively with international colleagues, partners, and customers to support the project technical activities Contribute to deliver high-quality technical reports and results Support the team in general management of the projects meeting client's requests Promote new business opportunities and participate to project proposal writing #LI-MT3
QualificationsAt least 3  years of working experience in consultancy companies and strong interest in bioenergy, energy transition, decarbonization, circular and green economy topics, good communications skills and a strong teamwork attitude.  Master's Degree Degree Agronomic / Environmental sciences or Engineering Degree (preferably MSc in chemical engineering, or energetic engineering, or industrial engineering, or mechanical engineering) knowledge of ISCC Certification or other similar standards good level of English both spoken and written; other languages knowledge will be a plus (especially French) Ability to write well structured, concise and well-reasoned reports, proposals and documents Ability to manage multiple assignments, proactive to meet short deadlines Availability for business trips within and outside the EU Interest and curiosity in energy and resource efficiency sector Advanced knowledge of the Office suite, particularly Word, Excel, Power Point Auditor qualification is not required. The possibility of training on ISCC organized and paid for by RINA for the selected candidate will be considered.
