As the Sustainability Supervisor, he/she will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable practices and initiatives throughout our hotel operations.
Working closely with various departments, stakeholders, and external partners, he/she will lead efforts to minimize our environmental footprint, promote social responsibility, and enhance the overall sustainability performance of Splendido Hotel.
He/She will report to the Chief Engineer.Main duties and responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy aligned with the hotel's values, goals, and industry best practices.Identify opportunities to reduce energy consumption, water usage, waste generation, and carbon emissions across all hotel operations.Lead initiatives to promote recycling, waste reduction, and responsible sourcing of materials and products.Collaborate with procurement and supply chain partners to integrate sustainability criteria into purchasing decisions and vendor selection processes.Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sustainability, and prepare regular reports to assess progress and identify areas for improvement.Conduct sustainability training and awareness programs for staff members to foster a culture of sustainability and environmental stewardship.Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and regulations in the field of sustainability, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance our sustainability efforts.Engage with guests, local communities, and stakeholders to communicate our commitment to sustainability and solicit feedback and support for our initiatives.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Hospitality Management or related field.
Master's degree preferred.Minimum of 2 years of experience in sustainability activities, preferably in the hospitality or tourism industry.Strong understanding of environmental sustainability principles, standards, and frameworks (e.G., ISO 14001, LEED, Green Key).Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and evaluate sustainability initiatives effectively.Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and influence decision-making.Passion for sustainability and a genuine commitment to making a positive impact on the environment and society.Benefits: We offer seasonal Labour contract according to C.C.N.L.
