SUSTAINABILITY & COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST

Reporting directly to the EHSQ Director Europe, the role will be responsible for all aspects of company compliance with EU regulations concerning general product safety, environmental impact, packaging waste management, and adherence to applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
The specialist will coordinate Sustainability actions across all EU (and beyond) plants, working closely with the EHSQ Director, Marketing, R&D, Product Development teams, and Operations.
Key responsibilities include: Keeping updated and in-depth knowledge of EU regulations through documentation, conferences, and consultations; Visiting company plants in Europe and neighboring countries to verify compliance with EU and specific company regulations; Developing improvement plans for sustainable activities; Preparing, collecting, and analyzing European data, and drafting reports on the company's sustainability and performance; Coordinating with various departments to integrate sustainability practices; Developing and implementing sustainability policies and initiatives; Ensuring all environmental/ecological statements are supported by reliable evidence; Conducting regular audits and assessments on environmental impact; Implementing training and communication within Operations, R&D, Product Development, and Marketing areas through awareness activities and workshops on Sustainability & Compliance.
The ideal candidate holds a degree in Engineering or Economics, with previous experience in Sustainability & Compliance at a European level, gained in manufacturing and industrial companies, or specialized consulting firms.
Essential qualifications include having managed projects and facilitated training activities in Sustainability and Compliance, handling data management and analysis for project supervision and control, and creating reports to share with foreign factories and HQ.
An excellent command of English and willingness to travel, primarily to European plants or the foreign HQ, are necessary.
Knowledge of SAP would be an asset for internal activities.
