We help companies measure their carbon footprints, set goals, define reduction strategies, finance climate projects and communicate their efforts transparently. For leading companies, we embed climate action into their business through our unique certification – ClimatePartner Certified. In this position you will:Act as a customer manager across various industries such as Consumer Goods Retail, Food Beverage, Clothing, Energy, and FinanceCalculate corporate and product carbon footprints (Scope 1, 2 and 3)Support and guiding our clients through our Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) toolHelp with the collection of quality input data for carbon footprintsResearch and assign emission factors to improve our database as well as ensure alignment with various standards (e.g.GHG Protocol, SBTi) to improve our carbon footprint software and reportsSupport our clients in identifying carbon hotspots and devising carbon reduction strategies at a high levelPresent results of the footprints and facilitate discussions around next stepsLead workshops with our clients on goal setting, reduction strategies, renewable energy and offsetting strategiesPrepare proposals for clients based on their needsProvide insights on sustainability claims, communications and marketing initiatives based on the core pillars of transparency and credibilityCollaborate with colleagues in the US and EuropeWho you areYou have at least 4-7 years of professional experience in environmental / sustainability consulting or equivalent in-house roleYou are knowledgeable about the GHG Protocols and SBTi standards surrounding carbon accounting and goal settingYou have previous exposure to carbon accountingYou have an affinity for numbers, excellent analytical skills and are very comfortable in using Excel to an advanced levelYou are incredibly passionate about sustainability, climate change and are driven by a strong conviction for climate actionYou are an excellent project manager and can manage multiple complex projects effectivelyYou build relationships easily and believe in educating clients as a tool to build trustYou have exceptional communication skills and can communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and at a management levelYou have an entrepreneurial mindset, sense of responsibility and willingness to take initiativeYour English language skills (written and verbal) are at a native levelDesired, but not required:You have experience in life cycle analysis, corporate social responsibility strategy, climate risk, and CDP/TCFD reportingYou have a technical sustainability-related university degree or similar educational qualificationBenefitsPurpose: Working together to take effective climate action and improve lives.
