MSCI is seeking to expand its ESG and Climate Consultants team in Milan.
MSCI ESG Research is a leading provider of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) data, models, and tools to different capital markets participants globally.
Successful candidates will have relevant experience working on a wide range of ESG and Climate topics (risk management, sustainability strategy, compliance, product creation, etc.)
at banks, insurance companies, or consultancies covering financial institutions.
They also exhibit a passion for these issues.
To succeed in the role, a consultant must have proven abilities to develop strong working relationships with external clients, learn MSCI ESG and climate solutions, and guide clients to better use those solutions in the context of each client's specific requirements, also leveraging other MSCI Analytics, Index, or Private Assets solutions.
Consultants are adaptable, eager problem solvers, and able to lead cross-organization projects in highly diverse teams.
Great communication skills are a must as they represent MSCI ESG and Climate to all levels of client management.
Key Responsibilities:Proactively communicate and educate clients on key ESG mattersOwn and manage client inquiry and issue resolution process using SalesForce.com and other internal toolsMonitor and ensure client satisfactionIdentify accounts at risk and create a plan to ensure revenue and client retention; working with cross-functional teams to address issues in a timely mannerDevelop/drive account management plans for all clientsConduct regular calls/visits with clients (health checks, training, relationship planning and review), requiring roughly 5 days of travel per month within EuropeIdentify and communicate up-sell opportunities to sales teamProvide subject matter expertise in pre-sales/up-sell/on-boarding activitiesConduct product training for clientsBuild up ESG industry expertise in order to guide client in integrating ESG research into their investments processesPerform frequent testing of new product featuresContinually assess target market and work with management to ensure company is offering relevant servicesEncourage and facilitate meetings between clients and research analystsAct as liaison between client and internal MSCI ESG Research teams for key client initiativesCommunicate market requirements to ESG Research business leadersAttend relevant industry eventsTake ownership for projects to help improve client service delivery and team efficiencyQualifications:Good understanding of the ESG market and how ESG factors impact the investment processExcellent organizational, presentation and communication skillsInnovative, motivated, client-oriented and commercially-aware thinkerDemonstrated project management skills - define scope, resources and timelines and manage to deliverablesA team player able to effectively manage the expectations of a diverse and demanding client baseFluent in Italian and English3-4 years of professional experienceAt MSCI we are passionate about what we do, and we are inspired by our purpose – to power better investment decisions.
