YOUR TEAM You'd be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where Biologists, Physicists, Engineers, and Biochemists collaborate, each with their own expertise, to carry out common research. The Nanotechnology for Neuroscience (N4N) Research Line is coordinated by Giancarlo Ruocco, who has extensive experience in Biophysics and Condensed Matter Physics.
The research of the N4N research line focuses on the technical development of new microscopy techniques, and their application for the early diagnosis of neurodevelopmental diseases.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Supporting the activities needed to carry out the experiments related to the ASTRA project;Setting instruments, start-up and shutdown procedures (refill tanks, cleaning procedures, etc.), keeping the consumables stock in order and under control, performing the waste cleaning duties;Keeping the laboratory clean and the bench area tidy and ready to be used;Performing cell biology experiments for the current projects;Supporting during the research activities/collaborations, helping to perform cell sorting experiments, FACS acquisitions, and analysis;Performing the request of offers and then the order for the needed consumables/reagents.WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU SHINE A Degree or a high school diploma in Biology, Biotechnology, or related disciplines;Previous work experience in flow cytometry protocols and cell culture basic techniques;Good skills in using the Microsoft Office package;Computer literate and adaptable to learn new software and platforms;Good command in spoken and written English.EXTRA AWESOME Knowledge of main software and flow cytometry analysis;Keen to work in a collaborative environment;Strong problem-solving attitude;High motivation to learn;Spirit of innovation and creativity;Ability to work in a challenging and international environment.COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Competitive salary package for international standards.
