**Your Role and Responsibilities**
The Sales Leader (SME) is responsible for driving sales of IBM software products, solutions and/or services to meet/exceed client expectations, key business measurements and IBM reporting requirements.
This vacancy is for a Supply Chain Subject Matter Expert in the EMEA AI-Applications business unit of IBM Technology.
She/he will provide leadership to in-market sales specialists, IBM Business Partners and other IBM colleagues involved in selling Sterling Supply Chain software.
The Sales Leader will be responsible for coaching specialists on sales situations and will ensure high levels of skill and competency in both Order Management and Supply Chain suite software, and in selling and communicating the benefits and value of our solutions.
This will involve leading with a positive emphasis on skills and development, very close working with sales specialists and sales managers, and a high level of interaction with C-Level, Line of Business customer decision makers in addition to lead and drive IBM Business Partner engagement.
Ability to deliver seller enablement and working with colleagues and business partners in the development of relevant sales plays for the EMEA market is part of the role.
Work with System Integrator contacts to design, develop and drive to growth innovative go-to market ecosystems.
Also, liaison with offering management and world-wide sales colleagues to accelerate adoption of our solutions in the EMEA market
The Sales Leader will also provide thought leadership material as required through writing white papers, blogs, communication on social media and speaking at marketing events to promote awareness of our market leading solutions.
This will also include frequent contact with influencers such as industry analysts, forum and consulting firm specialists who are in frequent contact with our target market.
A deep understanding of market trends and relevancy of our solutions both now and in the future is required to maintain eminence and leadership credentials.
Key measurements are: software revenue and bookings; customer and partner success.
**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
- Track record in selling enterprise software solutions for more than 5 years
- Consistent achiever in hitting targets
- Domain knowledge in retail and logistics industries
- Skilled in generating compelling and relevant material
- Exemplary communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrable evidence of managing complex sales cycles and building winning strategies
- Demonstrated ability to work in complex, matrix managed organisational environment
- Strong sense of ownership, execution, and focus on client success
**Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise**
From an industry perspective a good understanding of an organisation's Supply Chain challenges and strategies to manage complexity, efficiency and meet corporate goals
- An understanding of the role of Order Management and Configure Price and Quote solutions in other industries is a bonus.
- Understanding of the role of Blockchain technology in Supply Chain context
- Understanding the changing dynamics of the software industry in Supply Chain, the role of SaaS and Hybrid Cloud, Artificial Intelligence and business process automation
