**MAIN SCOPE OF THE POSITION/RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Within the Manufacturing Planning Department, the Planner Buyer is responsible to issue POs according to the RDA issued by the Material Planner. Main aim is to ensure the materials supply within material lead-time to support operational needs. Coordinates with suppliers for any delayed or expedited shipments to ensure required delivery dates are meet.
Contribute to the material inventory for assigned materials in order to meet the established goals. Works with departments to ensure that materials are available for manufacturing.
Contribute to material readiness to support production schedule. Key activities for this include, but are not limited to:
- Creation and issuance of Purchase Orders to the supplier
- Supplier follow-up for order delivery
- Cooperate with CS/warehouse to ensure purchased materials delivery
Supports the activities related to system maintenance, priorities definition and reporting to ensure that MRP and other systems are up to date and properly control inventory levels.
This position should be able to work independently with limited oversight and supervision to analyze the requirements for raw and packaging materials, order appropriately, and ensure readiness for production.
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Contribute to maintaining raw material and packaging material inventory levels within targeted values.
- Ensure that raw material and packaging components are available on time not to impact production requirements.
- When needed, responsible to work with cross functional groups (QC Lab, Warehouse) to expedite the steps upfront to the release of material needed to support the manufacturing plan (e.g. material delivery, materials loading in the systems,..).
- Enter and update purchase order into the planning system to comply with customer negotiated needs
- Responsible for system accuracy of vendor deliveries by updating incoming purchase orders.
- Manages and communicates changes in delivery date from suppliers to appropriate functions for priority and scheduling.
- Delineate appropriate inventory strategies to manage adequate inventory levels.
- Anticipate and communicate any material shortages prior to the official publication of the detailed production schedule.
- Cooperate in material management to minimize obsolescence, reduce impact to customer service and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Work with Client Service Representative to ensure readiness for new materials as well as reducing the obsolescence of the old material.
- Support Supervisor, Planner Buyer in any other special tasks and analysis as requested.
- Processes challenge to improve cost-effectiveness of material flow to the production areas.
- Participates in and/or supports product launch teams, technical transfer, PDS and integration projects.

**REQUIREMENTS** ESSENTIAL**:
**Education**
- Master's degree in Operations Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering.
**Technical/IT Knowledge**:
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Proficiency on the use of computer software such as Excel, word, Power Point, etc.
- SAP, MRP
**Professional Experience**:
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar function.
- 2-3 years experience in MRP II, Materials and Production Planning in the Pharmaceutical industry.
**Languages**:
- Good English level (written and spoken).
