**RESPONSIBILITIES**
As Supply Chain Manager West Africa, you will report directly to the
Head of Supply Chain Region APE/S.
You will relate to customers, business functions in country teams across APE/S and APE/L such as Cameroon, Ghana, Ivory Cost, Mali, Nigeria, and cooperate with regulatory and packaging team for timely artwork release.
- You will be responsible and accountable for the S&OP process to guarantee artwork availability and its deliverables.
- You will address supply and demand balancing issues, define corrective measures and ensure implementation of decision.
- You will assure communication with local marketing, sales, controlling and country management within the S&OP process.
- You will also minimize number of stock outs and ensure availability of supply against budget.
- In addition, you will actively represent BASF's interests and comply with guidelines and processes.
- You will work across cultural borders and build a good relationship with external and internal customers in different countries and across a decentralized organization.
- You will support subregional projects and activities accordingly to your competences and experience.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- You possess an appropriate degree in Management Science or in a technical scientific topic.
- Fluency in English and French is strictly necessary for this role.
- You already had an initial experience in operative Supply Chain or similar fields.
- Preferably, you have a good level of IT systems literacy (SAP and APO/IBP, BW System, MSOffice, Database, Powerpoint).
- You have sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proactivity and good communication skills are essential features for this role.
- You have a rational and organized
- analytical approach to working procedure and processes.
- You are able to work under pressure and handle uncertainty.
You are also self confident, determined and eager to learn.
- You are able to work in an international context and have a positive approach towards different cultures.
