RINA is currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Manager to join its office in Genoa or Milan (Italy) within the Italy Supply Chain Division.MissionThe Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for overseeing all Supply Chain activities of the defined area of action managing supplier relationships and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
This role involves leading a team of Supply Chain advisors, supporting Business Units from BID through project execution, and optimizing Supply Chain strategies to achieve cost savings and efficiency.Key AccountabilitiesLeadership and Team Management:Lead and mentor a team of Buyers, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional growth and development.Coordinate the team's efforts in assisting Business Units from bid through project execution.Supplier Research and Evaluation:Oversee comprehensive research to gather detailed information on potential suppliers.Ensure thorough assessment of the credibility, financial stability, and operational capabilities of suppliers, evaluate supplier performance, ensuring high standards of compliance and quality.Maintain and update a robust supplier database.Supplier Negotiation and Management:Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.Issue RFQs, manage bid receipts, conduct thorough evaluations, and compare bids.Manage supplier relationships and address any issues or disputes with suppliers promptly.Conduct detailed risk assessments and manage the risk passport process.Review and evaluate supplier orders submitted by Business Units.Confirm the feasibility of orders or suggest alternative suppliers based on thorough analysis.Manage both foreign and local aspects of Vendor Inspection management and international Supply Chain planning.Compliance and Reporting:Provide detailed analysis and reporting on Supply Chain performance and make strategic recommendations.Ensure all Supply Chain activities comply with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.Strategic Support and Coordination:Collaborate with Business Units to understand their Supply Chain needs and provide strategic support.Develop and implement Supply Chain strategies and policies to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in Supply Chain.Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulatory requirements.EducationBachelor's Degree in EconomicsMaster's Degree in Engineering General or Supply Chain ManagementQualificationsMinimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Supply Chain management, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.Extensive experience in supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract management.Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in Supply Chain activities.Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in Supply Chain processes.Proficiency in Supply Chain software and Microsoft Office Suite.Experience in testing inspection and certification sector.Fluent in Italian and English.Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead a team.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.CompetenciesADDRESS THE WAY - Have a big picture of different situations and reinterpret it in a perspective way.BUILD NETWORK - Forge trust relationships, across departments, and outside the organization.CLIENT INTIMACY - Embrace internal and external client needs, expectations, and requirements to ensure maximum satisfaction.EARN TRUST - Take everyone's opinion into account and remain open to diversity.MAKE EFFECTIVE DECISIONS - Structure activities according to priorities, actions, resources and constraint.MANAGE EMOTIONS - Recognise one's and other's emotions and express and regulate one's reactions.PIONEER CHANGE - Actively embrace change and benefit from the new circumstances.PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT - Promote commitment by keeping promises as a Role Model.PROVIDE VALUE WITH PEOPLE - Value everyone's contribution through honest feedback.THINK FORWARD - Capitalise on experiences and translate them into action plans for the future.With over 5,600 employees and 200 offices in 70 countries worldwide, RINA is a multinational player which provides certification, marine classification, product testing, site supervision and vendor inspection, training and engineering consultancy services across a wide range of sectors.
