ROLE GOAL:
The role is responsible for the activities relating to the quality of suppliers and materials.
He/she will reports to the Group Quality Manager.
DELIVERABLES:
- Stabilization of vendor performances through visits, audits and dedicated improvement plans;
- Reduce the advanced control checks as reaction of instability of the vendor processes;
- Increase of internal efficiency and monitoring the related costs due of supplier non-conformity;
- Increase the internal knowledge of the supplier production processes and management:
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES:
Actively collaborate with the purchasing area in the management and control of the quality of materials and suppliers:
managing definition of the standards, verifying their correct implementation, training the production resources andcollecting the KPIs;
Collaborate with production quality department to analyze the reports from the production of materials/supplier origin, contribute to the improvement of production, analyze the reports from the materials/supplier source field and contribute to the customer's response;
Coordinate the Metrological Laboratory resources in defining and implementing the Incoming Quality Plan for the critical codes to be checked;
Collaborate with Product Development to anticipate any quality problems of the materials even through a wider implementation of a PPAP process;
Manage supplier audits from its initial approval (Phase-In Process), the following periodical verifications to validate for resolution of quality problems on the materials supplied by them, and request Failure Analysis and 8D for problem solving with the materials provided.
Bachelor/Master of Science Degree in Engineering (Electronics or Mechatronics will be preferred);
2+ years of experience in a Quality department (Automotive Sector will be consider a plus);
Determination to achieve the objectives, flexibility, enthusiasm;
Ability to partner with the business with a problem solving approach and excellent communication and negotiation skills;
Be comfortable to deal with top level management and to work under pressure;
Ability to travel and fluency in English.
