Role: Supplier Quality Engineer

Location: Italy, Southern Europe Travel: 25% of the time across Europe, with occasional travel to Asia.
Piper Maddox is working on behalf of a European battery cell manufacturer specializing in the production of Na-ion & Li-ion batteries for Energy Storage Systems (ESS), industrial, and special applications.
They are currently building a gigafactory in Southern Europe and their next key hire is a Supplier Quality Engineer to lead and manage communication with suppliers across Europe and Asia.
Responsibilities include:
Lead and coordinate supplier quality activities, ensuring compliance with standards and best practices. Manage supplier communication focused on quality, facilitating effective collaboration and resolution of issues. Ensure high-quality deliverables throughout process stages, supporting the development of quality standards and improvement plans, and integrating lessons learned into new launches. Your background & experience:
3-6 years of Supplier Quality experience in mass manufacturing; experience in a battery company preferred. Proficiency in Quality tools (SPC, FMEA, 8D, Six Sigma, QRQC) and Quality management systems (ISO 9001) is essential. Excellent communication and negotiating skills. Fluency in English (oral and written) is required; fluency in Italian (oral and written) is highly beneficial. Ability to work under pressure, demonstrate flexibility, and manage tight deadlines is necessary. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing business and be at the heart of innovation in Europe.
