Supplier Development Manager in TAS-I (Torino or Rome)
The Supplier Development Management department is part of the Supplier Operation (SO) department within the procurement TAS JV team. As Supplier Development Manager, you will be responsible for the overall supplier performance, capability, and risk assessments. This is an on-the-field role aiming to develop TAS & Thales Group supply chain at supplier premises on all the Buy perimeter to support the On Time & On Quality delivery for Parts & full Equipment.
The position is a transnational role with strong leadership needed to run audits & industrial assessments (33%), recovery management (33%), and industrial coaching/supplier development (33%) from bids to project execution.
Skills & Experience
10 years manufacturing background such as aerospace, automotive, defense or other technical sectors with proven experience in a supplier development / supplier performance management role. Supply chain management background (APICS certified is a plus) and previous industrial non-technical auditor background for capability & capacity assessment (IPCA+_T, DPCA+). Hold excellent problem-solving skills and understanding of techniques such as DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) to develop and implement root cause analysis and improvement plans within Supply Chain. Proven ability to improve Supplier Performance (Delivery and Quality) using appropriate tools and lean methodologies. APQP & Lean Engineering background is a plus. English negotiation level. Italian negotiation level. French is a plus. This role will require strong leadership & stakeholder management in close collaboration with the procurement, industry, engineering & quality teams.
The position may require up to 80% travel and will be based either in Torino or Rome.
