You will serve as a SUPERVISORY WORK AND FAMILY LIFE COUNSELOR in the Fleet and Family Support Centers (FFSC) within the CNREURAFSWA region of NAVSUPPACT NAPLES. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Plan and coordinate programs (i.e., education services, human/personal growth and development) to assist individuals and groups in managing family and life issues;Conduct interviews with single and married military personnel and family members to provide assistance with such things as developing goals/plans and assisting with referral services;Maintain liaison with community programs/services to further the family and life program;Supervise staff assigned to the Work and Family Life unit and organize, set, and monitor the work of the unit based on short-term and long-term priorities.NOTE: This information must be supported in your resume to be considered for the position.

Incumbent may be required to board vessels to provide FFSC Return and Reunion Programs to crewmembers while the ship is in port, underway or enroute to homeport from last port call.
In case of emergency situations involving military families, incumbent may be on a twenty-four hour, seven-day week, on call status. Situations will be interpreted by higher authority as to determination of an emergency but, in most cases, would be natural disasters or disasters at sea and/or planes.
