Role description: As a Structural Engineer at Arcadis, you will play an important role in our Engineering & Construction Management team, amplifying your skills in structural design, technical analysis, and project management. You will collaborate with an international team across various sectors, delivering innovative designs that prioritize safety, sustainability, and resilience, and transforming clients' concepts into tangible structures.
You have hands-on experience in both domestic and international design projects, and the ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, clients, and multidisciplinary project teams. Your collaborative spirit will foster a positive work environment and promote the exchange of innovative ideas, driving the success of our projects and overall team objectives.
Role accountabilities: Perform structural design or DL activities across various building sectors. Engage in technical due diligence, energy transition, and data center projects. Ensure compliance with Italian regulations and building codes. Manage documentation for building permissions and Genio Civile coordination. Collaborate within our multidisciplinary design teams for solid structural solutions. Qualifications & Experience: At least 5 years of structural design experience including seismic design. Experience with structural design in steel and concrete structures from concept to detailed design. A BSc or MSc in Civil, Structural Engineering. Fluency in Italian and Excellent knowledge of English (B2/C1). Very good knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and MS360. Proficiency working with FEM software, Midas Gen preferred. Thorough knowledge of Italian structural regulations, including NTC and other current building codes in Italy. Experience with Building Permissions procedures and Genio Civile submissions. Familiarity with Eurocodes will be considered a plus. Experience with seismic vulnerability studies, retrofit design, and geotechnical design will be considered a plus.
