Your responsibilities will focus on:
Perform Finite Element Analysis (static and dynamic)Plycard/Materialcard definition:
understanding of complex material behaviour, failure models, predict performance, development of constituent models including non-linear deformations Analyse FE data and troubleshooting, monitoring performance, insuring quality control and creating documentation Feasibility analysis and concept investigation Collaborate with design/modelling team members to develop and verify component and vehicle models Develop new and innovative methods to improve system characteristics through a component-based approach (BBA) Provide technical scouting through evaluation of next-generation materials and components Define performance targets for new products Perform researches on carbon fibre materials to introduce innovation into the Company and find new solutions for projects and products issues Plan scientific studies (measurement methods, analysis techniques, deliverables) fully integrated with R&D development teams' timelines.
Verify data received from external engineering partners to assess compliance with thespecifications required and providing technical solutions for modification.
Evaluation and decomposition of complex structures, definition of the single component, lay-up, fastening systems, gluing, production technologies Coordinate Simulation and Testing activities Follow in-vehicle validation test with reference to composite structural od body panels component.Educational Background and Professional Experience:
Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or similar At least 7 years' experience in the field of CAE Simulation in the Automotive industry Knowledge of the following software:
CAE - ANSA, Nastran, Abaqus, PAM-Crash, Meta, Animator; CAD - CATIA v5; Others - Python, MS Office Knowledge of composite materials and their related technologies:
Prepreg, PCM, Compression molding, RTM and their joining technologies.Personal Qualifications and Skills Fluent English and Italian, German will be considered a plus Excellent relational skills Problem solving attitude CAN DO approach Target reaching attitude Empathy
