Strategic Project Manager

What you will do
The project leader will report to the Product Planning & Projects Director Cooking to lead projects cross-functionally for Cooking (Bi
- Ovens, Bi-mw, Hobs).
- Define high level requirements with Marketing and Design of a new range of products included in the 5 years plan and that will deliver product leadership (identify the drivers and include all of them in the project scope).
Build the Plan to Sell.
- Scope that project in terms of macro technical feasibility, capitals, product cost and schedule estimations involving the necessary partners (Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement,).
Work with Marketing and Finance to run the Business case and understand profitability.
- Organize Gates building, together with the team, the deliverables that each one requires and drive it in front of top management.
- Track the development (final feasibility to freeze design) and the execution (drawings delivery, supplier involvement, tooling execution) of the project identifying priorities and assessing risks guiding the departments towards the achievement of the different project milestones.
- Drive units builds: from preliminary engineering ones till industrial preseries to assure manufacturability since the early stage of the execution.
- Monitor the ramp up plan phases to assure a smooth phase-in / phase-out of the project and a commercialization in the market place according to the commitments.
What you need to succeed- Familiarity with the necessary tracking tools: whatever sw to manage Gantt chart -e.g.
MS Project-, technical spreadsheets -e.g.
Excel-.- Some understanding of the technical aspects of the product: not the one who will take final technical decisions but the one who will understand technical criticalities and priorities (in a such way to handle the tasks accordingly and drive the necessary tradeoffs).- Project Management Certification (PMP or equivalent)- Master Degree in Technical Disciplines (Engineering, Physics,)- Experience in developing new products in the consumer goods industry (home appliances as preference, cooking in particular) in a structured company (where product development process is well in place) global and multicultural.- Very fluent English (will talk daily with Turkey, China, US).- Ability in building and lead a multinational and diverse team, creating the necessary accountability/motivations in each team member to bring the project to the target successfully.
Communication and Negotiation.- Willing to travel abroad (Turkey, China, US) once every two months as average.Haier Europe is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
