Job Post: STATIC EQUIPMENT PROJECT LEADER He/She is responsible for the activities pertaining to the discipline within a project, in compliance with the assigned budget, the project schedule, and the technical project requirements, assuring cost optimization as well. He/She manages a group of Static Equipment Engineers appointed to the project and reports to the Project Engineering Manager for the peculiarities of the project and to the Static Equipment Head of Department for the management of the resources and the quality of the deliverables.
Key Activities & Responsibilities:
Prepare and coordinate with Project Team (Project Director/Project Manager and Project Engineering Manager) and Static Equipment Head of Department the execution strategy of the project (including the project schedule) and assure its application throughout the entire project life.
Ensure the coordination of the activities of the discipline regardless of the location and distribution of the engineering centers, guaranteeing the consistency of the documents with the contract, the respect of the time schedule, the implementation of the contract requirements, the compliance of the assigned budget, and the quality of the deliverables under the guidance of the Project Engineering Manager, cooperating with other Project Lead Engineers.
Supervise and actively participate in the preparation and review of the project technical specifications, material requisitions for tenders, technical evaluations, and technical follow-up with manufacturers.
Interface with Client representatives and Manufacturers for all the technical topics impacting the project both in time and costs, discussing with the manufacturers the potential improvements to the manufacturing schedule.
Guarantee assistance to the inspection and construction departments upon request as per project needs.
Coordinate with Construction and Site Project Control team to collect the Required On Site Date, verify alignment with the current supply schedule, and verify potential float in the Construction plan.
Provide feedback to the Static Equipment Head of Department concerning problems arising from the application of standard methods and work instructions to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the department.
Personal Attributes:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering in engineering companies or manufacturers of static equipment.
At least four years of experience as a project leader.
Experience in coordinating international working groups.
Fluent English speaker and writer.
Availability to travel for short periods in Italy and abroad.
