For a market-leading company in fastening systems, we are looking for a/an **Startup Innovation Scout** who will be in charge of:
- international trend and technology scouting in ConTech;
- validation and implementation of new ventures and external Founders (with focus to Italy);
- building up a startup ecosystem (with focus to Italy) and matchmaking to group of companies.
DUTIES:
- Explore and analyze markets and trends in Construction Technology
- Analyze startup deal flow to understand imminent disruptions and identify tech acceleration opportunities
- Lead the research and make sure that it is driven by customer centric learnings instead of just opinions
- Design, develop and guide quantitative and qualitative research to understand target groups behaviors, pain points, needs and aspirations
- Identify current best practices and market leaders
- Size existing customer markets and define possible relative positioning
- Design and conduct tests that help strategically frame, validate or challenge where our new ventures could be successful
- Drive future visioning by curating relevant insights, trends and signals to formulate future scenarios, implications and opportunities that are plausible and probable and challenge the status quo
**PERSONAL PROFILE**:
- 4+ years working in construction industry
- Leadership experience preferred
- Bachelor or master's degree in any field, preferably in Architecture or Civil Engineering
- Fluent in English and native in Italian
- Experience in a high-pressure environment with exposure to multidisciplinary teams and/or involvement with an innovation consulting firm
- Experience with strategy development, business planning and future visioning, as well as quantitative and economic modeling (preferred)
- Background in product prototyping and testing desirable
