The terminal, located in the heart of the Adriatic, is to accommodate growing demand and to become the future interchange platform between sea and rail on the intersection of Baltic, Adriatic and Mediterranean railway.Your gateway in the Adriatic to Europe.Staff PlannerBecome part of HHLA PLT Italy and shape the gateway to the future with us!Purpose of the jobEnsuring that the right quantity of operative staff with the correct qualifications is present during the shifts to perform the operations according to daily demand and customer requirements while taking into consideration the economic impact.Responsibilities:Calculation of staff requirement to carry out operations within timeframe requested by the customerOperation planning in cooperation with Control Room, General Cargo, Shift Leaders and Operational ManagerOptimizing staff distribution to cover peak situations and avoiding idle shifts by organizing shift changes or overtime and shifting flexible work packagesAssigning daily jobs to operative staff under consideration of individual qualifications, training necessities and role rotationOrdering of lashing personnel corresponding to calculated operations productivityMonitoring equipment availability and coordinating maintenance worksUpdating HR software with relevant information on shift changes, double shifts, extra indemnities, absences etc.Ordering third party personnel to enforce operations where necessaryManaging the constellation of the teams per shift to ensure a balance of personnel quantity, qualifications and qualityManaging the holiday planning of the operative staffPlanning the participation to courses and trainings under consideration of operational workloadPlanning and follow up on progress of internal job training ("training on the job")Administration of operative staff presences and absences (parental leave, additional resting days, other absent permits (grief, blood donation, 104))Communication of daily staff presences to port authoritiesInvoice verificationCommunication of company medical visits to the operative staffRequirements:High School graduation (technical field is preferred)Knowledge of port environment and operational processesAwareness about economic impact of staff planning decisionsBehavioral competences required (e.g., organizational skills, ability to lead a team, etc.
