1. Post Context/Post SummaryHeadquarters Allied Joint Force Command Naples is a Joint Headquarters, capable of executing effective command and control over assigned forces to achieve Operational effects in an assigned Joint Operating Area. The Operations Directorate is responsible for directing, monitoring, assessing, and coordinating operational staff functions. The J2 Division provides Intelligence in support of NATO assigned operations across all domains.
2. DutiesThe incumbent's duties are:
Main responsible for Quality Control of target materials produced by JFCNP targeteers and other NATO and National Target Developments entities.Develop standard operating procedures and orders for target development.Participate as main JFCNP point of contact into NATO workshops and conferences related to Target Development Standards.Collaborate with Intelligence analysts in the J2 and other commands to conduct thorough Target Materials Production.Coordinate and Develop ISR collection in support of targeting operations.Brief the Commander and Command Group regarding Target Materials.Undertakes work as part of a project team or working group as directed or assigned.Support all functions of the Target Support Section as necessary to complete the Joint Targeting Cycle.3. Special Requirements and Additional DutiesThe employee may be required to perform a similar range of duties elsewhere within the organisation at the same grade without there being any change to the contract. The incumbent may be required to undertake TDY assignments both within and outside NATO's boundaries and be willing to work unsocial hours.
4. Essential QualificationsEducation and Professional Experience: University Degree in a related discipline with 4 years of post-related experience, OR Higher Secondary education with advanced vocational training, leading to a professional qualification or accreditation, with 5 years of post-related, and 2 years of function-related experience.
Experience as Targeteers, performing activities that select targets and match the appropriate response to them.
Experience in Operational Intelligence activities.
Language: English - SLP 3333 (Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing).
5. Desirable QualificationsBackground experience covering Joint staff functions, preferably in a NATO environment.Experienced in operations covering all phases of the Joint Targeting Cycle.Knowledge of NATO Intelligence and Planning systems/tools.Knowledge of NATO planning and intelligence software used in Joint Targeting Cycle.6. Personal AttributesThe incumbent needs strong written and verbal communication and analytical skills, a flexible mind, and attention to detail. They will be a key player in a federated production construct and multi-disciplinary teams.
7. Professional ContactsThe incumbent engages regularly with J2 leadership and other senior officers in NATO.
8. CONTRACTThe successful candidate will be offered a 3-year definite duration contract. The basic entry-level monthly salary for a NATO Grade 15 (A-2) in Italy is Euro 5,939.03, exempt from national taxation.
