FIELD APPLICATION ENGINEER – ITALYCompany Information:

Analog Devices currently produces a wide range of innovative products - including data converters, amplifiers and linear products, radio frequency (RF) ICs, power management products, sensors based on microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) technology and other sensors, and processing products, including DSP and other processors - that are designed to meet the needs of our broad base of customers.
Role Overview:
The Field Application Engineer is the primary technical resource for assigned accounts, supporting customers, and taking their design programs from conception right through to mass production. The ideal candidate will have strong technical, commercial and interpersonal skills. This is a customer facing sales position, and as such, excellent presentation and communication skills are a must. Working closely with the Regional Sales Team, and more broadly with the EMEA Sales Teams, ADI Business Units and Technology Groups, confidence and a strong team ethic is required, as is the ability to act and work independently. Knowledge and experience within the semiconductor market is essential.
Key Responsibilities of the Role: Be a trusted technical advisor for customers while delivering exceptional support service on a day-to-day basisBuild up strategic and durable partnerships with our key customers in the regionDevelopment of ADI business at all regional customers in ItalyIdentification and management of new business opportunities/new customers/startups for ADI and bring them to winUnderstanding customers' objectives and requirements and anticipating their challengesLeverage on ADI's solutions value by positioning our products, demonstrating evaluation systems/boards and generating new upsell/cross-sell opportunitiesBe a pro-active member of the Sales Team and build a strong internal network within ADIEffectively articulate and communicate customers' needs back into the organizationVisit customers on a regular basis, attend trade shows and other industry events to capitalize on networking and relationship-building opportunitiesSupport internal marketing and product definition teams collecting and summarizing requirements and market trends for specific end applicationsTraining customers on Analog Devices' solutions and products and presenting at seminarsKeep up to date with latest ADI technologies, products and trendsCo-operate with the Sales Team ensuring sales KPIs are timely met, sharing knowledge on trends, growth/lost business, upsell/cross-sell opportunities and providing actionable recommendations for improvementsQualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or an equivalent professional qualification5+ years experience at board/system electronic design level or previous experience as Field Application EngineerExperience in the semiconductor market and in solution sellingExperience in technology sales and working with distribution partnersHighly motivated, energetic and positive attitude requiredTeam player and ability to adapt to changing situationsSelf-motivating and taking initiativeExcellent communication and presentation skillsExcellent relationship building skillsProficiency in Italian and English languageWillingness to travel 3 to 4 days a week, valid driving license and passportFull clean driving license and passportJob Req Type: Experienced
