The Group:The Consumer Group at ADI is exponentially expanding its activities and engagements, growing its battery power solutions to further complement its existing mixed-signal products, using 90nm and lower geometry, CMOS Analog Power Process technologies.
The Position:Analog Devices, Inc. is looking for an experienced Analog Integrated Circuit Design Engineer to join our European CSS Power Team. The candidate will be self-motivated, willing to learn exciting new technologies and develop new products, but also be able to work effectively within a talented group of individuals across multiple development locations. The candidate will join a team of Analog, Digital, Mixed-Signal CMOS designers, Mask Layout designers, Verification and Silicon Evaluation engineers, Algorithm and Software developers, Packaging and Test engineers, implementing PMIC state of the art.
Responsibilities:Work within an analog/mixed-signal design team based in Catania (Italy), Sophia-Antipolis (France), Edinburgh, Newbury (United Kingdom), and other locations worldwide.Work closely with other cross-functional teams to define, implement and introduce products to our customers.Lead medium and high-complexity ICs from architecture selection to implementation and debugging, managing analog and digital teams.Mixed-mode IC top-level/block design, transistor-level circuit design and simulation.Use recommended design and verification techniques to produce efficient designs which meet specifications.Successful integration of blocks into larger mixed-signal systems.Support other development team functions to ensure successful delivery and meeting all requirements.Perform hands-on evaluation of ICs in the lab.Minimum Qualifications & Experience:Master's degree in electronic engineering and 5+ years' experience as analog circuit designer.Strong fundamentals in analog and mixed-signal design.Design experience with circuits such as amplifiers, DACs, ADCs, bandgaps, bias circuits, LDOs, and switching power supply circuits.Good understanding of power supply control architectures.Knowledge of BCD process technologies.Understanding of digital IC design.Strong interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills.Ability to take ownership of top-level subsystems and integration in the mixed-signal environment.Good level of understanding of the English language, both written and spoken.Preferred Qualifications & Experience:Proficient with Cadence Suite (Virtuoso ADE Spectre).Scripting languages (Shell, TCL, PERL, Python).Analog Behavioral Models (Verilog-A, Verilog-AMS).Experience in high-voltage low geometry process technology.Lab silicon bring-up evaluation and Production Test support experiences.Why You Will Like Working At ADI:We place great value on individual judgment.We allow our employees the freedom to explore new ideas and the autonomy to determine how to best achieve business goals and objectives.We emphasize professional development and mentoring.We recognize that the personal goals of our employees and the company's goals are closely related and must support each other.
