We are looking for someone with great clinical communication skills to join our Medical Affairs team. Bring your experience of educating and treating people with diabetes, and your knowledge of Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) to help develop programmes and materials that will equip HCPs and our non-clinical colleagues with the knowledge they need to understand and support our patients. Where you come in: It is essential that we remain up to date with the latest developments in Diabetes and CGM, so that we can best serve our patients and provide accurate advice and support to health care professionals. The Medical Affairs team are our resident experts regarding the treatment of diabetes, medical device product training, clinical studies and the use of CGM as a management tool for diabetes. As a Regional Medical Affairs Manager Italy at Dexcom, you will facilitate and play a leadership role in the promotion of emerging clinical trial data, expanded indications, strategic publications, and health outcome research with KOLs and other relevant parties via presentations, discussions and face-to-face meetings, and publications. You will take the lead on providing medical and educational leadership and support to our Commercial teams, including among others Marketing, Promotion and Technical Support, in the Italy region. Your expertise in the field of diabetes education will enable us to develop the educational tools and clinical messaging needed for a variety of audiences across the Italy region - patient, Diabetes Nurse, Physician and others. This will include working collaboratively with the EMEA and US Marketing Departments, Research and Development, Regulatory, Legal, Clinical, Compliance and Quality, Customer Support, Field Sales as well as with Clinical and Industry Partners. You can expect to collaborate with clinical colleagues in writing and presenting papers to diabetes journals. This is an exciting role for a confident communicator who is passionate about high standards in clinical education and keen to support Dexcom's efforts to be a leader in CGM education and driving CGM as a standard of care. What makes you successful: You must have extensive experience in the education and treatment of patients with diabetes, with good knowledge of CGM strongly desired and its use as a diabetes management tool. You are team-focused and a strong collaborator, working alongside a highly functioning medical team and matrix organization. You are also able to work independently and use critical thinking skills to make independent decisions. You are experienced in developing and running commercial advisory boards with KOLs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required (for both patient and HCP communication), with the confidence to convey complex information in a manner that meets the needs of the audience. A team-focused and collaborative approach to work. Fluent in English, Italian with the ability to read and interpret clinical and scientific documents, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Experience and Education Requirements: Typically requires a Medical Doctor (or another relevant clinical university degree) with 13 years of industry experience. 5-8 years of previous people management experience.
