Job SummaryThe Specialist, Recruitment and New Student conducts and assists in the coordination of off-campus recruitment and outreach activities to facilitate the transition of new students into the college community. The position's purpose is to increase the number of applicants, serve residents throughout the SCF region, and enroll a vibrant student body. This staff member will meet with prospective students, parents, high school counselors, and other contacts to promote the opportunities offered at all of SCF's campuses.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage assigned high school recruiting territory and maintain exceptional relationships with high school guidance counselors, administrators, and teachers.Represent SCF and deliver recruitment presentations at high schools and community events.Communicate with prospective students, applicants, and parents via phone, email, social media, and mailings.Coordinate and participate in college recruitment initiatives on campus and in the service area.Assist in the facilitation of new student orientation sessions.Participate in the development of the annual recruitment and orientation calendar.Develop and implement the institutional recruitment plan.Assist with outreach campaigns to ensure students navigate the admissions process successfully.Report statistical data on outreach initiatives and activities.Serve on college-wide committees and advisory boards as assigned.Position requires extensive regional travel, a flexible schedule, and some evening/weekend events.Job QualificationsThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
Education/Experience: Associate's degree required; two years related experience in sales, customer service, account management, or higher education recruitment.
