**(associate) Specialist, Logistics**
(hybrid/office based in Rome, Italy)
**Purpose of the role**.
As a Logistics Specialist, you are primarily responsible for managing operational activities in SAP, including deliveries, SAP-warehouse stock comparisons, inventory reconciliation for auditors, and inventory adjustments. You also manage and control orders processed by customers through Dafne's platform. Additionally, you analyze claim trends and suggest improvement plans. You support compliance controls performed in D&L and oversee customs activities and accounting reporting.
**Main responsibilities**
- Support the definition and implementation of strategic initiatives and strategies that align with both short
- and long-term operational logistics and financial objectives, ensuring consistency with overall company strategies.
- Offer support to optimize shipping and transport procedures.
- Possess a strong understanding of logistics operations and terminology, primarily acquired through data analysis of performance metrics, KPIs, and process mapping.
- Liaise with carriers and third-party services, addressing shipping complaints, lost items, and damages.
- Collaborate with managers and team members to implement new strategies and initiatives.
- Work with other departments to integrate logistics with company processes.
- Update service-level reports and provide analysis on findings.
- Perform transactions to ensure zero discrepancies in the Inventory Reconciliation Report by the end of the month.
- Analyze claim trends, identify root causes, and support the CAPA plan periodically. Inform management of ongoing performance issues.
- Inform the accounting department monthly about returns to be accrued for the fiscal period.
- Open Purchase Orders and verify correct invoice accounting monthly by controlling the D&L cost center.
- Update and monitor cost variances against the budget; additionally, develop reports showing transportation costs for specific projects.
**Your profile**
- Minimum of 3 years of logistics experience within Supply Chain Management (SCM) in Pharma, FMCG, or a similar industry.
- Master of Science in Engineering, Business Administration, or any scientific field.
- Expert user of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in SAP or other ERP systems is essential.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Curious individual with an analytical mindset, result-driven, open to change, and enjoys working in a team. Enthusiastic about learning and growth.
- Strong focus on teamwork and collaboration.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Customer-focused and experienced in operating in an international environment.
- Advanced level of English (C1).
- Knowledge of Six Sigma or Lean methodologies is an advantage
