Local Unit & Position Description:
DNV Solar Team provides independent technical advisory services for a wide range of Customers into the Industry.
DNV is seeking a highly motivated engineer, wiling to learn and to start her/his professional development in the solar industry.
The position would be full-time or part-time (depending on the student conditions) reporting to the Solar Team Leader for East Mediterranean region.
The Engineer will support the Solar Team on daily work for Customers as well as tasks related to unit internal organization.
Additionally, DNV Solar Team is also involved in internal R&D projects as floating photovoltaics, agrophotovoltaics, software tools development and databases, among others.
DNV would be interested to get the engineer involved in these fields and in that sense evidencing interest and skills would be positive.
**The engineer will learn and be exposed to**:
- Solar technology and design
- Solar market information
- Financing processes for solar projects
- Energy simulation software
- Participation in regular staff meetings
- Internal R&D Projects
**Responsibilities**:
- ** Direct Project work.
** As part of the daily work, it is expected that the Engineer will support in technical advisory tasks which may include project economic and technical analysis, data analytics and energy simulation to determine project performance and component behavior as well as preparing and delivering presentations;
- ** Unit internal organization.
** As part of the support to be provided to the Solar Team, the Engineer will be involved in tasks related to internal procedures development, internal knowledge management and market intelligence; and
Position Qualifications:
- No professional experience in the solar sector is required;
- Previous knowledge on renewable energy technologies (preferred solar) will be positive;
- Previous knowledge on renewable energy policy and solar PV will be also positive;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Support independent qualitative and quantitative analysis;
- Willingness to travel across the country;
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Programming skills (Excel in advance, Visual Basic, R, C++)
- Bachelor degree in engineering and Master degree under study (preferable last year of MSc); and
- ** Soft skills**: independent, assertive, proactive, self-motivated, good communication skills, open for new challenges, flexible and open for learn.
