YOUR TEAM You will be working in a multi-disciplinary group, where people with different backgrounds collaborate, each with their own expertise, to support IIT research activity.
The Advanced Robotics Facility supports the advanced robotic research lines (HHCM, ADVR, DLS, HRII, SoftBots) in project, design, realization, and testing of hardware and software for robotics platforms and is coordinated by Stefano Cordasco.
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Software development, including but not limited to, device communication (sensors, motor drivers, etc.
), system architecture, and front-end.
Maintenance of the software repositories (code review, branch merging, etc.)
Maintenance of legacy software Collaboration with other engineering disciplines, such as mechatronics, electronics, and control, to ensure the successful integration of the subsystems within the software architecture.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS A Master's degree in computer science, information technologies, engineering, or related fields Documented experience in software development Advanced programming skills in C/C++ and good level of Python Good knowledge of version control system GIT on Github/Gitlab platforms Software development in Linux environment Basic knowledge of RTOSs Good hands-on and analytical skills Good knowledge of the English language ADDITIONAL SKILLS Experience in robotics Experience in embedded systems Programming skills in other programming languages Basic knowledge of some graphical interface tools as Qt or others Good communication skills Strong problem-solving attitude High motivation to learn Spirit of innovation and creativity Good at time and priority management Ability to work in a challenging and international environment Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment COMPENSATION PACKAGE Competitive salary package for international standards (Salary can include bonus option depending on your role and contract) Private health care coverage (depending on your role and contract) Wide range of staff discounts Flexible working time Candidates from abroad or Italian citizens who permanently work abroad and meet specific requirements, may be entitled to a deduction from taxable income of up to 90% from 6 to 13 years.
