Eurotech, a global company that designs, creates and delivers full Internet of Things solutions, including services, software and hardware, is seeking a motivated, and enthusiastic Software Support Engineer to be added to the global Support team.
You will play a key role in helping our customers and partners in operating large fleets of IoT devices and adopting or developing business solutions using our Everyware Cloud and Everyware Software Framework products.
Responsibilities As a Software Support Engineer, after an initial training phase, you are expected to:
Drive customer interactions by working with customers to dive deep into the root cause of an issue
Properly reproduce and escalate complex issues to appropriate internal development teams
Write tools and scripts to help our customers and internal teams
Work with management on process improvements and strategic initiatives
Document technical knowledge in the formwrite internal and customer facing articles or operating procedures
Stay up to date on new technologies and participate in training to increase your IoT domain knowledge
Qualifications Technology-related Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
Knowledge of system, network, and OS (Linux and Windows)
Excellent oral and written communication skills in Italian and English
Customer service experience | strong customer focus
Strong multi-tasking skills
Strong analysis and troubleshooting skills and experience
Self-starter who is excited about learning new technologies
Preferred qualifications Experience Linux or Windows system administrator skills
Experience with at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, shell scripting)
Networking (e.g.
DNS, TCP|IP, SSH, MQTT, HTTP, etc)
Expertise with network monitoring and troubleshooting
Exposure to Virtualization and containers (VMware, Xen, Hypervisor, Docker)
Prior working experience with hardware IoT devices and field protocols
Exposure to security concepts | best practices
