Qascom is looking for a Software Security Engineer in the Aerospace & Defence domain, located in Bassano del Grappa (Vicenza, Italy).
Your main objective will be to contribute to the design, development, testing and implementation of security software systems for space missions and governmental services.
This includes designing security protocols, security architectures, and cryptographic solutions.
As part of the Security Engineering Team, you will be involved in the newest cutting-edge projects of the European Space Agency and the Italian Space Agency, as well as supporting the major international players of the sector.
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or Computer Engineering; Master's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or Computer Engineering, is preferred; Over 4 years of professional experience as Software Developer and designer in relevant activities (complex or networked software system); Professional experience in design & development of multi-threading software systems; Knowledge in applied cryptography (even if academic); Knowledge of software design principles; Knowledge of software security principles and standards; Knowledge of security risk assessment; Advanced English proficiency; Eligibility for National Security Clearance.
Responsibilities: Design, development, test and deployment of space and ground systems with particular focus on key management, telecommunication protocols for space applications, applied cryptography, security services of sat systems; Security Risk Analysis and Assessment; Support to the System Engineering including but not limited to, requirements analysis, identification and flow-down; Drafting of technical documentation in compliance with relevant standards (e.g.
ECSS, GSWS, CCSDS, etc.).
