Description Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Software Quality Assurance Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic.
The position is based in Naples, Italy .
Mission You will be part of the Software Quality Team whose commitment is to monitor all stages of software development to identify system malfunctions to meet international software development standards.
The Software Quality Assurance role plays an important part in our company's product development process.
Our ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and proposing measures to correct or improve final products.
Accountabilities: Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
Monitor design and testing activities to guarantee requirement compliance.
Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions.
Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
Record test progress and results.
Required Skills/Knowledge: Basic knowledge of most, if not all, the following:
An understanding of test automation tools and manual testing practices.
Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Good time management.
Problem-solving skills.
Good knowledge of C, C++, Java, Python programming languages.
Education / Qualifications: Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer or Telecommunication Engineering or Equivalent Technical Background.
Languages: Good English proficiency, at least B2.
Italian C2.
