Within the Interoperability & Tactical Datalink (TDL) SW unit of the Electronics Business area, we are seeking a Software Engineer for our Taranto office. Responsibilities: Develop mission application software, such as C2 information systems, fire control C2, unmanned aerial systems C2, combat management systems, and air traffic management systems; Develop software related to interoperability systems in the TDL (Tactical Data Link) area; Program software solutions related to the above applications; Manage development phases. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or equivalent; 1-3 years of experience (Junior level); Strong analytical and mathematical background; Basic knowledge of common virtualization tools (e.g., VMWare); Excellent knowledge of programming languages (e.g., C, C++, Java, SQL); Good knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Javascript, Python); Good knowledge of web application frameworks (e.g., Angular/AngularJS, Node.js); Basic knowledge of data stream processing systems (e.g., Apache Kafka). Soft Skills: Proactivity; Ability to work in a team; Problem-solving attitude; Flexibility to engage in topics outside of one's expertise. Language Skills: Good knowledge of English (B2). IT Skills: Knowledge of Linux and Microsoft operating systems; Knowledge of communication networks; Knowledge and use of databases. Other: The ideal candidate is available to primarily work on-site and to undertake short to medium-term travel, after adequate on-the-job training, in Italy and/or abroad.
