Job DescriptionWe're looking for an experienced Software Developer with a strong background in .NET projects and a passion for programming to join us at our Discovery Centre in Genoa, Italy. As the Head of a Software Team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our software solutions. This position requires hands-on design, coding and maintenance of the software suite.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor a small team of software developers, ensuring high-quality work and continuous skill development.Define data architecture, create, design, write, and maintain high-quality code in different programming languages, ensure a good data flow between database and backend systems, and strive to achieve the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.Responsible for ensuring that model code, data pipelines, APIs, and user interfaces are developed and deployed successfully into production, and troubleshooting issues that arise.Ensure adherence to industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.Ensure that the technical solutions meet the customers' goals, analyze user needs, and participate in meetings to define requirements.Coordinate activities with other project teams to ensure product integrity.Act as the go-to expert for the entire technology stack, demonstrating a deep understanding of all layers of the stack, including front-end, APIs, back-end, server, network and how it relates to business needs.Technically document deliverables through use cases, design documents, and technical specifications.Develop and/or review the development of test protocols for testing applications before distribution to users.Develop and implement solutions to fix errors, improve software performance, and enhance user experience.Candidate Experience NeededBachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or in a similar field.At least 5 years of hands-on experience in C#, ASP.NET, SQL, GIT, Visual Studio, HTML/CSS and Javascript.Experience with WinForms, TypeScript, Angular and NoSQL or a keen desire to learn.Strong background in software design, architecture, and development methodologies.Collaborative problem-solving ability, action-oriented and results-focused.Excellent English language skills.Familiarity with DevExpress eXpressApp Framework (XAF) and experience in Agile development methods and with backlog management tools (e.g., JIRA) is preferred.Experience of leading small development teams would be an advantage but if not, we can help you grow into this role.Compensation and PerksVery Competitive Salary Package.A dynamic and stimulating work environment driven by a desire to build transformational technologies to help others.A young, fast-growing company with plenty of opportunities for career growth and development.Being part of a well-educated, international and multidisciplinary team, and a collaborative work culture.Office located in Genova, Italy: wonderful Mediterranean city with an incredible history, located at the heart of nearby world-renowned places Cinque Terre or Milan, the fashion and business hub of Italy.
