ProPursuit is currently looking for an experienced Software Developer for a world leading FinTech client of ours in Milan.
This role will allow hybrid remote working, requiring 4 days onsite per week.
This role works across the lifecycle of the system, working through ideas, concepts and forming requirements, solutions, and designs.
The role is accountable for building and testing these designs, solutions and seeing through to successful production deployment.
Your role: Provide maintenance and development support for their application systems.
Work with Solution Leads to assist with analysis and design of projects as needed.
Give direction to other programming resources as necessary.
Responsible for development for medium to large scale projects or high priority Incident defects Ensure that their development methodologies and standards are followed.
Your profile: Sound programming skills in COBOL and proficiency with IBM mainframe platform Familiarity with a software design and development methodology Previous development or support experience preferred but not essential.
Strong programming skills required using CICS, COBOL, VSAM/IAM Ideally experience dealing hands on with customers IBM Mainframe skills Detailed understanding of mainframe ZOS environment is essential including JCL.
