We are looking for a Software Architect in the Automotive Solutions Team.
The position is based in Milan, Italy or Paris, France or Munich, Germany.
Key Responsibilities: The Software Architect will be part of the R&D team developing the Midas Safety Platform and will focus on the Cadence EDA design/verification/implementation flow targeting safety critical automotive and industrial applications. He/she will be part of a motivated and collaborative team that is shaping the direction and development of a holistic Design-For-Safety approach that integrates Functional Safety as part of the traditional EDA flow.
This role will be an integral part of an engineering team that focuses on bringing safety solutions per the ISO26262 and IEC61508 standards to Cadence customers in the fast growing Automotive/ADAS market.
The Software Architect will work with the safety organizations of our customers, safety experts and internal product development teams to define the features of the Midas Safety Platform, and the related roadmap.

Main Role: Participate in architecting and designing complex software projects. Interface with R&D, product teams, and customers to define the specifications for new application features, working together with R&D on implementation, bug fixing, and test. Responsible for product documentation, demonstrations, and trainings, as well as technical and white papers. Support application engineers on the Safety Flow and its use on customer projects. Collaborate with product engineers, marketing & development team, safety consultants, vendors, and customers on Functional Safety activities. Job Qualifications and Skills: BSEE/BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering. MS/PhD preferred. Strong C/C++ development skills with an excellent understanding of object-oriented design. 7+ or more years of total relevant work experience. Expert knowledge of Functional Safety concepts and the ISO26262, IEC61508 standards. Direct experience in Functional Safety analysis (FMEA/FMEDA) and compliance, testing or auditing or quality assurance of embedded HW/SW systems. Working experience with ASIC design methodologies, and EDA tools. We're doing work that matters. Help us solve what others can't.
