SOCIAL IMPACT SUSTAINABILITY MANAGER: KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Provides strategic "thought and action" leadership on social impact to progress on the implementation of the human rights and social impact strategic agenda.Serves as subject matter expert, liaises with all relevant company departments and legal entities within the MSC Cargo Division to contribute to the progressive embedding of social topics across all business areas and ensures relevant targets are met.Owns, develops and sets the guiding principles, policies and business requirements for social impact and contributes to align with the human rights agenda.Provides expert advice and continuously develops insights and competence to proactively support the business and senior management with direction, tools, measurement and knowledge.Contributes to sustainability-related risk management and compliance activities, supporting risk mapping as well as the definition of the mitigation approach against identified risks (focus on social impacts and human rights) under the framework of the Enterprise Risk Management system (ERM).Coordinates and oversees projects and activities related to the implementation of the sustainability plan, with reference to social area and business and human rights.Liaises with relevant departments and suppliers contributing to ensure company standards and policies are met across the supply chain.Analyses the possible impacts of international legislation on MSC business, understands and contributes to designing actions to comply with related regulatory requirements.Monitors and contributes to internal reporting on MSC's performance across the social and human rights dimension and distance to target.Acts as the main point of contact for MSC within collaborative platforms, industry associations and other key stakeholders, with specific reference to social topic matters.Assists in the development and publication of the annual Sustainability Report and collaborates across departments and businesses to develop relevant contents (focus on social impacts).QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION:
University degree (Social Sciences and Business Human Rights), advanced degree valued.Minimum of 10 years of experience in relevant sustainability related fields and complex organizations.SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:
Subject matter expert in business and human rights and social impact management.Sound project management skills and ability to deliver on-time and efficiently with multiple stakeholders in a global environment.Extensive knowledge of the international regulatory landscape and human rights conventions.Consolidated experience in structuring and implementing Human Rights DD processes in relation to business practices in global companies with a focus on supply chain, transportation industry a plus.International background and excellent language skills.Good intercommunication skills and ability to interact with high-ranking officers within complex organizations.Ability and experience to inspire and coordinate other professionals.MAJOR CHALLENGES FOR THIS POSITION:
Setting up and coordinating the strategic direction of social impact work enabling the full implementation of MSC's Cargo Division sustainability plan.Coordinating and overseeing social and human rights program implementation including structured involvement of the supply chain.Understanding a broad and fast-evolving regulatory landscape at international level with a focus on EU CSRD and CS DDD.Interacting with both internal and external stakeholders.MAIN STAKEHOLDERS AND WORKING RELATIONSHIP: Internal: Sustainability VP, Sustainability Team, all relevant MSC Cargo Division departments and entities at HQ and local level.External: Collaborative platforms and multi-stakeholder initiatives, NGOs, International Organizations.WHAT WE OFFER:
