About the Role This entry-level Site Reliability Engineer will ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of company systems, and will collaborate with teams to solve issues, automate processes, and enhance system scalability.
Responsibilities Reviews alerts and runbooks/procedures. Supports more senior engineers during incidents. Ensures post-mortem actions are logged and tracked. Participates in disaster recovery testing. Practices automation and coding skills, initially in non-production environments. Helps document procedures and validates existing documentation. Requirements IaC: basic knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and automating workflows with GitHub Actions. Linux/Unix: knowledge of Linux/Unix administration, and programming languages like Shell scripts and Python. Network: understanding basic networking concepts. Version Control: familiarity with version control systems like GitLab and GitHub. Containers: familiarity with container tools like Docker and Kubernetes. Cloud Computing: previous exposure to Cloud environments (Azure or AWS). DevOps: understanding of development and operations methods and practices. CI/CD: understanding of continuous integration/continuous development tools and pipelines to find vulnerable code paths/dependencies.
