Within Partnerships & External Supply (PES) of Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicines Supply Chain (Supply Chain), a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, we are excited to recruit a Site Lead, Partnerships & External Supply SM DP with possible locations in Belgium, Switzerland and Italy (DP) Would you like to be a part of our team?
This position is responsible for base business supply of commercial and new product/launch preparation in Small Molecule products.
You will lead some of the Drug Product CMOs to ensure that products are available to meet customer needs, provide the highest quality at the lowest total cost of ownership, and achieve maximum relationship value through accelerated innovation, supplier integration, process improvement, and collaboration.
The external relationships are sophisticated in nature and require extensive interaction with key business stakeholders, critical supplier leadership, and other segment/functional leadership.
The role acts as Virtual GM for assigned relationships, providing oversight for all activities and leads the Virtual Management Teams (VMT) including external Quality, Manufacturing, Science & Technology, Procurement, Planning and Finance to drive high performing sites.
The role handles a spend > $20MM.
Major Duties & Responsibilities STRATEGY: Shape external network & strategy, Influence, and support JSC strategy by providing input on the external landscape related to partners and CMOs.
Benchmark other J&J and partner companies and industries to identify innovations, continuous improvement, and best in class processes to support PES and business development initiatives.
Deeply understand and communicate evolving market opportunities.
PARTNER ASSESSMENT: Assess partners' capacity and capabilities to support IMSC sourcing initiatives.
Lead partner assessment and new product implementation in coordination with VMT functions, including site visits.
Define technology transfer expectations and supply strategy with partners.
PARTNER MANAGEMENT: Serve as Virtual General Manager with external partners and lead J&J VMT in partner management, providing oversight of all activities and financials.
Establish and maintain performance metrics and targets with the goal of improving supply, processes, and systems and eliminating duplications regarding supply, compliance, finance, and strategy.
Partner with procurement in agreement negotiations and ensure proper functional inputs.
Align VMT to manage compliance to agreements, as well as overall cost management including seeking cost reduction opportunities.
Develop and manage Account Plans and manage VMT in delivering on all objectives.
Define and establish priorities, requirements, expectations, results, and partner needs between JSC functions and partners using negotiated agreements.
TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT: Project manage implementation of new product launches at partners to ensure timely product availability.
Manage plans related to implementation of product changes.
Serve as Virtual GM related to partner and determine appropriate actions when key issue remain unresolved.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (Include any required digital literacy, certifications, licenses, languages, etc.)
8 experience in the areas of general manufacturing (pharma DP and/or DS, or other similarly regulated industries) and business management (business development, procurement, value chain management).
Demonstrated knowledge of functions including Quality, Manufacturing Science & Technology, Finance, Planning and Procurement.
Understanding of end-to-end supply chain considerations and methods of driving continuous improvement.
Demonstrated experience crafting and working with negotiated agreements.
