The HS Coordinator is responsible for supporting the HSE Manager and Site Manager to successfully implement the Site HSE Management Plans. We are seeking a dedicated Health and Safety (HS) Coordinator to join our team and collaborate with our HSE Manager and Site Manager to ensure the effective implementation of Site HSE Management Plans. As an integral part of our team, you'll play a pivotal role in fostering a safety-conscious environment in line with Acciona Energia Global Safety Principles.
Job Description
Familiarising yourself with the WHS Management Plan to provide expert advice to the site team. Reviewing internal and contractor safe systems of work to ensure compliance with industry best practices. Facilitating and participating in risk workshops. Conducting onsite face-to-face inductions and monitoring contractor activities to ensure adherence to agreed work practices. Conducting site inspections and ensuring timely closure of action items. Maintaining project HSE documentation registers and administering management system platforms. Facilitating site HSE meetings and developing toolbox materials for presentations. Monitoring the storage, use, and disposal of dangerous goods and hazardous chemicals. Participating in Emergency Control Organization (ECO) and Crisis Management Team (CMT) activities as necessary. Supporting internal and external audits and incident investigation and management activities. Assisting in training and educating site personnel on safety and environmental compliance. Seeking improvement opportunities for our WHS Management System and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Required Skills and Competencies
5+ years experience in HSE within high-risk construction, covering civil works, high voltage electrical, working at heights, and cranage. Diploma qualification in OHS and/or Environment highly valued. Proficient in ICAM and its practical application in construction settings. Demonstrated ability in writing, developing, and implementing safety management systems. Experience as a Trainer Assessor and OHS systems auditor is advantageous. Familiarity with local laws, codes, and regulations. Strong communication, problem-solving, and IT skills, along with a valid driver's license.
