Responsibilities: Design and Development: Develop and integrate advanced flight simulation systems and aircraft system and subsystem models for pilot training and advanced design. Design and optimize flight control systems, including autopilot and stability augmentation systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Create detailed design documents, technical specifications, and system architectures. Testing and Validation: Conduct rigorous testing and validation of flight simulators and control systems to ensure performance and reliability. Utilize simulation software and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing methods to validate system functionality. Analyze test data and provide detailed reports and recommendations for system improvements. Work collaboratively with software engineers, hardware engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate flight systems and simulators with broader aerospace projects. Participate in and occasionally lead design reviews, technical meetings, and project planning sessions. Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders, mentoring junior engineers as needed. Maintenance and Upgrades: Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and updates on existing models and control systems. Implement significant upgrades and enhancements to improve system performance and incorporate new technologies. Ensure all systems comply with regulatory standards and industry best practices. Documentation and Training: Develop comprehensive user manuals, technical documentation, and training materials for flight simulation systems. Conduct advanced training sessions for end-users, including pilots and maintenance personnel, on the operation and maintenance of developed flight systems.
