Position Overview The Simulator Maintenance Engineer will handle maintenance cases from the entire portfolio of VI-grade simulators happening at customers around the world and will support all after sales service activity including planning and delivery of software and hardware upgrades.

Primary Responsibilities: Supporting HW corrective hotline requests coordinating with suppliers and VI-grade internal departments. Organizing all maintenance and repair activities with customers, suppliers, and internal resources (fulfillment work from: mechanical/electrical, procurement, logistics, support, etc.). Visiting simulator sites as per maintenance programs (e.g. hardware issues analysis and corrective action identification; software updates installation; supervising maintenance activities). Visiting simulator sites for service activities (driving simulator/software trainings, software/hardware implementation consulting). Supporting product delivery in installation activities when required. Giving feedback to product quality and providing customer insights to the large simulator sales group (e.g. what upgrade to offer, other internal needs). Core Functions: The Simulator Maintenance Engineer primarily coordinates predictive and corrective maintenance for VI-grade driving simulator customers. The Simulator Maintenance Engineer diagnoses driving simulators system technical issues reported by customers and plans for corrective actions. The Simulator Maintenance Engineer provides additional operational services related to driving simulators (software updates / trainings). Details of Function: Planning and carrying out scheduled maintenance at customer sites. Timely responding to corrective maintenance requests from customers. Diagnosing faults in customer simulator systems. Supervising contractors and maintenance technical staff. Coordinating with procurement to order components and stocks of supplies and equipment. Creating maintenance procedures. Keeping records of faults and repairs. Visiting customers for driving simulator software updates. Delivering driving simulator trainings. Supporting product delivery team in project management and installation activities. Basic Qualifications: Completed training as vehicle mechanic / vehicle mechatronics engineer or similar qualification. Assessment capability of customers' technical issues and requirements. Fluent in English. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in dynamic environments involving multitasking, under pressure, to deadline activities. Responsiveness to customer requests, coordinating solutions with team members. Availability for frequent travels. Preferred Qualifications: Practical experience in the use of driving simulators and related software. Knowledge of VI-grade software suite. Knowledge of systems architecture and networks. Expertise in electronic / mechanical applications. Knowledge of maintenance and quality assurance procedures and regulations.
