Ecopol America is searching for a Shipping/Receiving Lead for our Griffin, GA facility.
This position requires an individual who is safety conscious and able to perform required functions in a productive manner.
The Shipping Lead will play a critical role in ensuring that orders are received, processed, and delivered to customers accurately and on time.
This position involves working with the sales team, customers, and warehouse staff to ensure customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Supervise 2 material handlers.
Direct and coordinate the activities of the wrapping team to assist in preparing orders.
Responsible for inventory management.
Process customer orders in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
Manage the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
Process commercial proposals, sales offers, and supply contracts by specifying prices, quantities, delivery terms, and payment methods.
Oversee the work of others to ensure orders are received, pulled, and processed correctly.
Collaborate and communicate with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
Update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
Process monthly forecasts for key clients, manage, collect, and process statistical sales data for analysis and benchmarking activities.
Handle shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
Schedule trucks for freight orders and ensure on-time pickup and delivery.
Acquire and/or manage customer orders and any changes by checking warehouse stocks, production, preparation of goods, and shipment in compliance with agreements and deadlines established, promptly notifying the customer.
Interpret customer needs and expectations by identifying alternative commercial proposals, in compliance with technical-strategic and price constraints set by the Sales department, provide pre-sales assistance in relation to commercial information, technical data sheets, suitability, and various customer requests.
Periodically check sales trends and identify and implement the most appropriate corrective actions in discussions with commercial management.
Provide after-sales assistance in the event of complaints of a logistical, qualitative, or accounting nature, activating with the various process managers for necessary corrective actions; manage and keep track of unpaid orders proposing corrective actions to the Sales Department.
Verify order accuracy and resolve any discrepancies with the sales team and customers.
Enter and maintain customer and order information in company databases and systems.
Responsible for invoice creation and processing.
Respond to customer inquiries regarding order status and shipment tracking information.
Maintain accurate records of inventory and shipments.
Other duties as required.
