WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Service Transition Manager - Defence
Join our prestigious client's facility as Transition and Service Manager. This is the only site in Europe dedicated to the assembly and final testing of advanced aircraft, playing a pivotal role in supporting high-performance jets for both national and international forces.
In this role, as Transition Manager, you will oversee, for at least the first 3 months, the seamless handover and technical transition of fire-fighting service operations from the current provider to the new operator, starting from the award of the tender (ideally from the 1st of October). The work location will be Novara/Cameri, and during the Transition period, you will be required to travel back and forth between these sites.
Once the transition is complete, you will assume the role of Service Manager, overseeing and implementing operations and activities related to contract execution. Ideally, you will be required to be in Novara/Cameri every other week for at least the first year of service.
YOUR TASKS
As Transition and Service Manager, you will be responsible for:
Overseeing technical aspects to ensure a smooth transition to the new operatorDocumenting and addressing any incidents involving service provider personnelOverseeing operational documentation for vehicles and fire-fighting equipmentAssessing the condition of the client's materialsTracking mandatory health checks, certifications, and any additional requirements for personnelReviewing past service evaluations to identify improvementsSetting up a unified KPI dashboard with Leonardo for all four sitesHandling any other activities necessary for a smooth transitionYOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Following skills and knowledge are required: Proven track record in Military/Defence sectorsExperience in managing contracts in complex environmentsSuccessful management of international projectsLeadership and team management skillsStrong communication and stakeholder management abilitiesFocus on innovation and continuous improvementProficient in financial managementFluency in both written and spoken English and ItalianMS Office and planning tool proficiencyIn-depth knowledge of compliance and quality management standardsA strong communicator and team playerAdaptability and flexibilityEXTRA INFORMATION
