As the Service Sales Area Leader, you will be responsible for pursuing large opportunities that help our customers modernize their HVAC solutions. This is a technical & consultative Sales role where you will seek to understand the customers' needs and design the best solutions to meet them. About the role Experienced professional in Outside Sales. Participates in various Outside Sales activities and customer relationship management. Responsible for representing the company's interests and building business relationships to enhance outside sales performance. Key Responsibilities: Proactively identify and prospect for modernization projects, including identifying bid opportunities, preparing bid responses, creating presentations, and negotiating contracts with potential customers. Manage a pipeline of sales opportunities through qualification, proposal, quote management, and booking of the work to achieve Orders and Gross Margin targets. Provide accurate forecasting of orders on a monthly and quarterly basis. Grow an assigned territory or group of accounts with the sale of Carrier's modernization offerings, teaming with other salespeople responsible for Service Agreements, Repair, & Controls to deliver top-tier value for our customers. Work closely with the strategic account teams across the Carrier organization to support Service Modernizations growth and share. Develop long-term relationships and partnerships with customers via consultative sales methods. Create Account/Territory plans to help facilitate annual sales and gross margin targets while providing customers with superior value and service. Utilize sales tools effectively (CRM, estimating software, etc.) to plan and document progress as well as increase business opportunity within accounts. Execute customer campaigns and key initiatives in line with the Product Teams' priorities. Implement the modernization sales installation processes by working directly with field management on modernization projects and coordinating activities and information concerning the modernization of all equipment. Requirements We are looking for people who, as a minimum, must have: Bachelor's degree in related field preferred, High School Diploma / GED required. 5 years mechanical sales experience required. Ability to work in a highly collaborative and dynamic environment. Candidate must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively develop expectations and relationships with internal and external customers. Needs to be self-motivated and able to manage many simultaneous projects and responsibilities. Successful candidate should be very comfortable in a technical environment utilizing Microsoft-based computer software.
