The purpose of this position is to create control databases, graphic screens and set-up of control systems based on project specification and/or sale proposal. Provides on-site and remote technical support to installers and customers. Performs field startup and system commissioning tasks as well as the remote installation of software and control programs. Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Creates programming logic through multiple communications protocols. Provides coaching and training to Team Members in the use of the control software and analytical tools where applicable. Required to perform job-site system checkout, commissioning and testing of control applications, to verify proper operation according to project specifications, sales proposal and design documentation. Up to 50% travel (25% travel expected). Programs control applications using various software tools to support operator workstations, DDC field panels and third-party integration devices connected through multiple communications protocols. Provides remote technical support to installers and customers. May be asked to provide on-site technical support to installers and customers. Articulates resolution to a customer's problem clearly both in verbal and written communication. The resolutions must be explained to the customer in a format that is understandable to the customer. Facilitates resolutions that are in the best interest of the customer and ESI. Develops system graphic displays, according to project specifications or sales proposal. Education:
Associate Degree or experience in HVAC controls, mechanical systems application, or design. Accredited 4 or 5 year HVAC apprenticeship would also be acceptable. Proficient in Niagara. Proficient in cloud tools like Azure ML and DF, and AWS. Must know programming languages such as R and Python. Experience:
Experience in HVAC, automation system control, mechanical and automatic control applications. Must have worked with Tridium Niagara, understands Protocols, Bacnet Router Tables, and has worked with IDF. HVAC and Electrical knowledge. Must be able to read and understand HVAC/R and process mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, etc. Must possess a thorough knowledge of the use and operation of Windows-based computers and Microsoft Office. Must be able to do ADVANCED troubleshooting. Knowledge of spreadsheets and database management; Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. ADVANCED Experience in NIAGARA.
