Location: based out of a Natus site or Remote in Italy As a TEAMMATE: Our Senior User Experience Designer – Remote is responsible for user workflow definition, human factors analysis, and usability engineering activities of medical electrical systems used in neurodiagnostic products. Involved in all phases of the product lifecycle, for both new product introductions and maintenance of existing products. What you'll get to do in this role: Identify and surface UX issues and opportunities ensuring that they are closed out as part of ongoing development initiatives. Spend time with the end user to learn how to best integrate the product into their workflow and how to improve the quality of their work. Become an engineering expert for how Natus products are used in the field. Build high fidelity wireframes of a multi-variant workflow that inspires users in research studies and transforms medical devices into a seamless user experience. Lead collaboration across software development, product management, and product marketing to create fluid, intuitive interfaces that scale across desktop and mobile applications. Translate data from iterative usability studies into concrete user interface design improvements and get them prioritized into sprint planning so the team sees an immediate impact. Provide human factors support across the organization, including business and user needs development, usability and application specifications definition, user interface design, formative usability testing, and use error analysis. Apply human factors engineering methodologies to determine end-user behaviors and preferences to develop usage models. Update and maintain usability engineering files for compliance with IEC 62366-1 and quality management system procedures. Define scope of individual deliverables and timelines on new product development programs for the program management office. Contribute to harmonizing the company's various medical device platforms by converging system architecture and reusing components as well as design and test practices (product line engineering). Travel Requirement: Up to 25% domestic or international travel on a project need basis What we are looking for: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science or industrial design; Master's degree is an asset; and minimum 5 years' relevant experience in medical device industry. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in UX design English fluency – speaking, writing Advanced knowledge of Figma Solid understanding of fundamental UX methodologies and user-centered design principles. Experience in designing and conducting user research and usability testing. Excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions and process. Understanding of product lifecycle management. Strong skill set in usability studies, cognitive walk-throughs, generative/experimental study design, translating research into actionable results. Demonstrated ability to deal with a fast-paced environment, high levels of ambiguity, multiple concurrent projects, and conflicting assignments.
