RINA is currently recruiting for a Senior Technical Expert - Stability (NAPA) to join its office in Genova within the Marine Consulting Division.
MissionThis role focuses primarily on developing studies related to Ship Stability, preparing feasibility studies, developing related documents and resolving issues related to conflicting design requirements, ensuring client requirements and applicable standards are met.
Projects could be relevant to new building, conversion, and existing vessels.
Key AccountabilitiesDeveloping or updating NAPA Software Model.Preparing Full Intact and Damage Stability Booklet.Performing Longitudinal Strength Calculation of Cargo Hold.Preparing Loading and Unloading Sequences.Assisting clients during the design and construction phase, providing guidance and support related to stability issues.Resolving issues related to conflicting design requirements and standards.Reviewing the project deliverables (technical reports, project performance documentation and engineering drawings, etc.).Assessing complex stability problems for internal/external clients to determine solutions.Overseeing and managing day-to-day project elements.Ensuring correct and up-to-date data is used and complete documentation is submitted to client and other day-to-day duties.Performing stability assessments and providing specialist advice for service delivery, research or development work within agreed broad parameters that include budget constraints and contractual requirements.Taking ownership and responsibility over the financial progress of assigned tasks.Understanding and applying project management concepts providing feedback to project manager.Able to manage projects assigned applying project management concepts and techniques.EducationHigh School Diploma/GED in Naval Engineering.
